I can’t tell a lie…This isn’t the Bloody Mary I drank when I first got up this morning…This is the one I photographed after the first one had restored me a bit…Friday night strikes again. Anyway..Freshly squeezed tomato, thick rim of table salt, tablespoon and a half of Lea & Perrins, teaspoon of Tabasco, parsley, (celery is for girls,) and a splash of Ketel One Vodka…OK, two splashes. Never fails.
Photo wise this was hand held with a bit of flash…f6.3 and 1/60th, 175 mm with a Sigma 18-250 on a Nikon D5000. Bottles were about 2 feet behind the glass. I posted a second version in Gallery 1 which I photoshopped a bit more.
Oh, it didn’t go to waste, I drank this one as well and then had a snooze..
love the red and green.. looks so delish!
Thanks Marina
I dont know if it was the colours or the vodka that woke me up but something worked…
I’ve had a (very quick) look at your blog, at work now so I’ll look closer later, but it looks great and you’re absolutely right ..If you can’t actually be travelling an inspirational image can keep you sane…
p.s.
My Grandad used to say… ‘If yoh ain’t movin’, yoh ain’t livin’, so get yer ruddy shoes on…’
Don’t know if that’s really up there with some of the travel quotes you’ve posted on your blog but it works for me..

Loved this post. And love your composition in this image. Just enough DOF to see the ingredients in the background. Just wonderful! 🙂
